Reporting to the Manager, Community Recreation, the Aquatics Coordinator assists with administration, development, and delivery of aquatic programs, activities, and events in compliance with Town by-laws, Public Health Act, provincial guidelines, the Lifesaving Society, High Five Standards, and Town program standards and procedures. The position is responsible for developing and fostering public and private partnerships with schools and outside agencies regarding programs, administration, and awards. The main duties and responsibilities of the position are in the areas of program development, administration, lifeguarding, instructing, supervision and operations.
Normal hours of work average 35 hours per week, on a rotating shift; scheduled hours will be dependent upon the pool schedule and will include early mornings, days, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Flexibility in scheduling is required and the availability to change shifts, respond to urgent matters, work holidays and/or to work overtime as necessary.
The salary range for this position is $48,939.80 to $59,459.40 per year.
