The Lifesaving Society appoints Airway
Management Examiners only upon the recommendation of
their Area Chair. Airway Management Examiner candidates are
experienced Airway Management Instructors who undergo specific
training in examination standards and apprenticeship. Airway
Management Examiners certify candidates in the Lifesaving
Society's Airway Management course.
Prerequisites: Lifesaving Society Airway
Management Instructor certification, Examination
Standards Clinic; co-teach at least 1 full Airway Management course
with an experienced Airway Management Examiner; Area Chair
approval. You must submit
the completed Examiner Training Record to the
Society's office prior to appointment as an Airway
Management Examiner. Do you have the prerequisites to become an

Candidate recognition: Certification card.
Costs: There is no Lifesaving Society fee for
this volunteer leadership position.
Recertification: Examiners remain current
by recertifying within 24 months of the last certification
date. Recertification is through the Society's professional
