The Lifesaving Society Advanced First Aid Instructor course
prepares instructors to teach CPR-C-HCP, Airway Management and AED
courses.
Prerequisites: Lifesaving Society First Aid
Instructor andLifesaving Society CPR-C-HCP
and
Lifesaving Society Airway Management certification s (need not be
current). Do you
have the prerequisites to take this course?
Evaluation & certification: First Aid
Instructor Trainers who hold the Advanced First Aid Examiner
certification teach, evaluate and certify Advanced First Aid
Instructor candidates. The Lifesaving Society deems its
certifications to be "current" for 24 months from the certification
date.
Course length: Approx. 8-10 hr. classroom
instruction.
Candidate recognition: Certification card.
Required reference material: First Aid
Award Guide, Canadian First Aid Manual and First Aid
Instructor Resource CD.
Recertification: Instructors remain current by
recertifying within 24 months of the last certification date.
Recertification is through the Society's professional development
credit system.
