Airway Management Instructor

The Lifesaving Society Airway Management Instructor course prepares candidates to teach the Society's Airway Management award.

Prerequisites: Lifesaving Society Airway Management and Lifesaving Society First Aid Instructor and Advanced Instructor certifications (need not be current). Do you have the prerequisites to take this course?

Evaluation & certification: First Aid Instructor Trainers who hold the Society's Airway Management Instructor certification teach, evaluate and certify Airway Management Instructor candidates. The Lifesaving Society deems its certifications to be "current" for 24 months from the certification date.

Course length: Approx. 5-7 hr. classroom instruction.

Candidate recognition: Certification card.

Required reference material: First Aid Award Guide, Canadian First Aid Manual.

Costs: In addition to the required reference materials, a certification fee is payable to the Lifesaving Society. Course organizers charge a fee to cover the costs of running the course.

Recertification: Instructors remain current by recertifying within 24 months of the last certification date. Recertification is through the Society's professional development credit system. Is it time to recertify?
