Job Description

Russell Aquatics is looking for an outgoing, responsible and passionate individual to assist with the smooth operation of their facility.

Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain an Upbeat and Friendly Attitude at all Times
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service to Every Person who walks in the Door
  • Leads and Prepares Aquatic Training Material including but not limited to Fabric training platform
  • Updates and Maintains Training Material on Fabric
  • Ensures pictures, Videos and Go pro material is being distributed to families, being used for Social Media Marketing and Training Material
  • Leads and prepares all training material for staff training every quarter (fall, winter, spring & summer).
  • Schedules the staff training with the General Manager
  • Responsible for continued development of instructors, assistant instructors and trainees
  • Oversees aquatic instructors - Evaluations and coachings including in-water mentorship and out of water guidance.
  • Oversees lead instructors - evaluations and coachings
  • Create and update aquatic lesson plans & core plans for all levels
  • Works cohesively with General Manager to make sure pools are adequately staffed for shifts
  • Opening and closing of the facility
  • Supervise shifts 2-3 days week including student evaluations, smooth running of pool and general operations of pool area
  • Complete all associated administrative work for shifts in a timely manner
  • Ensure correct levels for students on shifts supervising
  • Provide feedback to parents on child’s progress
  • Ensure the completion of skill trees during sessions supervised
  • Deliver instructor feedback and evaluations at least one each session
  • Ensure chemical levels in pool are in range
  • Addresses client concerns and complaints in a timely manner
  • Create training schedules for new hires
  • Ensure certifications are current for all Staff
  • Ensures pool is safe, clean, and functioning properly
  • Works with General Manager to address any pool related work including maintenance that is needed
  • Work with General Manager on ordering equipment when needed
  • Meet with General Manager weekly to go over any necessary changes or staff concerns
  • Attend Weekly Meetings

Required Qualifications

  • At least 3 years experience in Aquatic Industry
  • Maintain National Lifeguard, Instructors, and First Aid CPR Certifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) considered an asset
  • Additional advanced aquatic leadership qualifications considered an asset
