Member benefits and services
(Note: As of January 1, 2023, you must be an Affiliate Member of the Lifesaving Society to run any Society program.)
Lifesaving Society Affiliate Members in Ontario receive many benefits:
- Receive a Swim to Survive and a Sport Fundamentals license.
- Gain access to Inside Tracker.
- Enjoy credit privileges.
- Place orders from LifeguardDepot.com and have them charged to your Affiliate account.
- Apply credit notes to outstanding invoices or pay invoices by credit card online
- Order Lifesaving Society awards in advance for presentation to candidates on the day of examination.
- Receive preferred Affiliate Member rates for aquatic safety audit services.
- Receive preferred rates for posting a job on the Society's website.
- Send two voting delegates to the Ontario annual meeting of the Lifesaving Society.
Lifesaving Society representatives are available to Affiliate Members throughout the year to assist instructors, lifeguards and programmers. Assistance is available from Lifesaving Society Area Chairs for training and locating Examiners.

Affiliate Recognition Awards
The Lifesaving Society annually recognizes Affiliate Members who deliver the Society's training programs, promote Water Smart® public education, and raise funds in support of the Society's drowning prevention mission.
Most recognition awards are presented on the basis of points earned (see Point System below). Point values reward affiliates who offer a full menu of lifesaving programs and reflect the relative degree of difficulty or amount of training and effort required to achieve each level including the programming time commitment.
