Under the direction of the Chief Administrative Officer and the Recreation Coordinator the position shall be responsible for the operation, supervision, direction, and administration of the Mayo pool, pool staff, activities, programs, and facilities. The position will also be responsible for life guarding duties and the instruction of pool related courses.Salary:
$25.08/hour; 40 hours/week; for 13-14 weeks (mid-May to mid- August) and may include working overtime on some weekends and/or evening hours. The Village of Mayo also pays for relocation costs (a return flight or fuel expenses) and provide a staff house for pool employees for the summer
18 years or older, Water Safety Instructor, CPR/First Aid Certificate, National Lifeguard (Pool) Certificate, current COVID vaccination
Applicant must successfully pass RCMP reliability/vulnerable sector security check
2 years supervisory experience in a pool setting, Lifesaving Society Instructor, Pool Operators Level 1 & 2, WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) certificate, valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean drivers abstract, AEC/NLS Instructors, WSI Trainer, Lifesaving Society Examiner, Small Craft Safety, and NCCP Coaching Certification for swimming.
