Job Description
Purpose
To execute the pre-production functions for digital and print publication of theSociety’s literature and other communications materials.

Pay Range
$62,259.00 (Contract no benefits)
Responsibilities
In accordance with strategic plans, approved project briefs and overall marketing andcommunications priorities and guidelines:
- Design and format corporate and technical literature, ensuring compliance with currentaccessibility standards.
- Develop digital and print-ready layouts for reports, newsletters, brochures, web pages andpresentations.
- Assemble text, graphics and photos into approved page layouts.
- Create and edit graphics consistent with Lifesaving Society visual identity guidelines.a. Corporate logos, event logos.b. Artwork for the Society’s activity centresc. Charts and illustrations.
- Ensure all materials adhere to brand guidelines and accessibility requirements.
- Transfer files to appropriate formats for print or electronic publication.
- Support the Lead Graphic Designer in maintaining consistency across all materials.
- Revise designs based on feedback and approval from the Lead Graphic Designer.
- Utilize and maintain file structure to save and retrieve design files, logos and other materials.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Graphic Design or a related field.
- High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and other relevantdesign tools.
- Strong understanding of AODA compliance for digital and print materials.
- Experience in creating layouts for technical manuals and corporate literature.
- Ability to work collaboratively with and take direction from the Lead Graphic Designer
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent teamwork, time management and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of book production processes and file preparation.
- Photography and videography experience an asset.
- Aquatic experience and prior knowledge of Lifesaving Society programs an asset.
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
