Wading Pool Attendant provides knowledge of wading pool
operations and the lifesaving skills needed to prevent injuries and
promote the safe use of wading pools.
The 4-6 hr. course identifies the role and responsibilites of a
Wading Pool Attendant and provides training in how the attendant
can identify, control, and eliminate risks and hazards through
facility analysis.
Prerequisites: Minimum 14 years of age. Emergency
First Aid certification from one of: Lifesaving Society, St.
John Ambulance, Canadian Red Cross Society, Canadian Ski Patrol.
Prior lifesaving training is recommended.
Evaluation & certification: Current
Lifesaving Instructors evaluate and certify Wading Pool Attendant
candidates. The Lifesaving Society deems its certifications to be
"current" for 24 months from the certification date.
