New Canadians are at a Higher Risk of Drowning

New Canadians are four times more likely to be unable to swim than those who were born in Canada and almost 80% of new Canadians will be on or around the water this summer (as per Lifeasving Society research).

New Canadians need to learn to swim. Water Smart tips will help! The Lifesaving Society has a toolbox of information to help you help new Canadians become safer around water. It includes tip cards, posters, bucklsips and more!
