Job Title: Swim Instructors & Lifeguards
Location: Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and surrounding areas
Employment Type: Part-Time, Seasonal
Wage: Starting at $20-$25/hour (based on experience and certification level) and 4% pay in lieu of vacation and relevant statutory holiday pay

Position Summary
We are seeking passionate and reliable Swim Instructors and Lifeguards to deliver mobile swim lessons, supervise aquatic environments, and support our growing community-based programs. You will play a vital role in fostering a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for swimmers of all ages and abilities.
Key Responsibilities
Swim Instruction
- Teach swimming lessons using the Lifesaving Society Swim for Life® Program
- Adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of swimmers, including beginners, youth, adults, and individuals with disabilities
- Provide clear instruction, skill demonstrations, and constructive feedback
- Track swimmer progress and complete report cards
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and caregivers
Lifeguarding
- Supervise aquatic activities and always ensure swimmer safety
- Proactively identify and respond to safety concerns or emergencies
- Enforce water safety rules respectfully and consistently
- Maintain professional conduct and communicate safety guidelines to clients

Required Qualifications
Required Certifications:
- Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor Certification
- National Lifeguard - Pool or National Lifeguard Waterfront Certification
- Standard First Aid & CPR-C Certification
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of swim instruction and/or lifeguarding experience
Transportation:
- Reliable access to a personal vehicle (travel to client locations is required)
