Job Description
The Program Coordinator, Aquatics is a full-time, permanent position requiring significant experience in front-line program delivery and supervision. The Coordinator provides planning and support to aquatics programs, and other recreation programs as assigned. The Coordinator reports directly to the Program Manager, Aquatics and supervises Program, Head Guards and part-time Instructors, lifeguards.
Required Qualifications
- University or College Degree or Diploma in Psychology, Social Studies, Physical Education, Recreation and Leisure, Child and Youth Worker, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience working directly with the public in a social organization or not-for profit organization
- Minimum 5 years working directly in a children’s camp, recreation or aquatic program
- Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role
- Standard First Aid and CPR level ‘C’
- Criminal Records Check for work with the vulnerable population
- Current National Lifeguard, Lifesaving Swim Instructor, Lifesaving Instructor
- National Lifeguard Examiner (National Lifeguard Trainer preferred), Lifesaving First Aid Examiner (FA Trainer preferred), Lifesaving Swim Instructor Trainer, Lifesaving Instructor Trainer, Pool Operator Training, Aquatic Supervisor Training
- A valid Class G drivers license with a good driving record
