Instructor Lifeguards (Part-Time)

Job Description

The Township of North Huron Recreation Department is seeking positive, team oriented, professional individuals to join our Aquatics team and support the aquatics programming at the Wescast Community Complex Pool.  Opportunities for Summer and Fall 2026.

Duties include: Planning, implementing, and delivering swimming lessons, providing safe and enjoyable drop-in aquatics programs, maintaining proper pool records in accordance with Ontario Health Regulations.

Hours of Work: Part-time, up to 30 hours per week (variety of shifts available including daytime, evening and weekend).

Required Qualifications

  • Current National Lifeguard, Lifesaving Society Swim Instructors, and Standard First Aid with CPR C and AED
  • Experience planning and conducting Lifesaving Society Swim Program, guarding busy recreational swims, and working with adults, children and youth of various ages and abilities
  • Valid/Current Vulnerable Sector check required
  • One (1) year experience as an Assistant Instructor Lifeguard
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational
