The following rule books outline competition event descriptions, rules and procedures. The Canadian Competition Manual and the Commonwealth Competition Manual refer to and do not repeat event descriptions or rules outlined in the ILS Competition Rule Book.

Note: The ILS 2019 Competition Rulebook - March 2022 Update Final will be used for the 2022 Canadian Pool Lifesaving Championships and the 2022 Canadian Surf Lifesaving Championships. Athletes, coaches, team managers and officials are strongly encouraged to familiarize themselves with the updates.
