Lifesaving Factoid

The Lifesaving Society started life in 1891 as "The Swimmers' Life Saving Society."  'Swimmers' was dropped the following year and by 1904, we were styled the Royal Life Saving Society. Today Canadians know us simply as the Lifesaving Society.
