The Aquatic Safety Inspector Instructor course prepares
Instructors to teach and certify candidates in the Society's
Aquatic Safety Inspector program.
Prerequisites: Lifesaving Instructor and
Aquatic Safety Inspector and Advanced Instructor certifications
(need not be current). Do you have the prerequisites to take
this course?
Evaluation & certification: Aquatic Safety
Inspector Instructor Trainers teach, evaluate and certify Aquatic
Safety Inspector Instructors. The Lifesaving Society deems its
certifications to be "current" for 24 months from the certification
date.
Candidate recognition: Certification card.
Course length: Approx. 12 hr.
Required reference materials: Guide to
Ontario Public Pools Regulation, Guide to Ontario Public
Spas Regulation, Waterfront Safety Guidelines, Wading Pool
Guidelines, Aquatic Safety Inspector Workbook, Instructor
Notes.
Costs: In addition to the required reference
materials, a certification fee is payable to the Lifesaving
Society. Course organizers charge a fee to cover the costs of
running the course.
Recertification: Instructors remain current by
recertifying within 24 months of the last certification date.
Recertification is through the Lifesaving Society professional
development credit
